E-Safety

E-safety is an important aspect of keeping our pupils safe at Sandown. We have comprehensive measures in place to safeguard our children from potential dangers and unsuitable material. E-safety in an integral part of our Computing curriculum taught to all year groups. We also hold regular whole school e-safety events to help our pupils keep safe online.

As part of our partnership with parents we encourage parents to speak to their children about how the can keep safe and behave appropriately online.  It’s essential to be realistic - banning the internet or technology will not work and it often makes a child less likely to report a problem. This means that education around safe use is essential. If you're concerned about any aspects of e-safety contact our Computing Coordinator Mrs Wapshott via the school office and she will be pleased to help.
