We are thrilled to announce that our Year 5 and 6 athletes delivered a stellar performance at today’s Town Sports competition held at Ark Alexandra.
Our young champions competed with determination and showcased their incredible talents across various track and field events.
Their hard work and dedication paid off as they brought home an impressive total of 40 medals:
* 🥇 16 Gold
* 🥈9 Silver
* 🥉15 Bronze
Not one child without a medal, which just goes to show the talent at Sandown and yet the standard of competition was the highest I’ve ever seen with many course records being broken. One of those was Yr5 Freddie with his discus 🥏
Each athlete gave their best, and their collective achievements reflect the true spirit of teamwork and perseverance that we strive for at Sandown. We couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments!
Thank you parents and supporters for your crucial role in cheering them on all day.
And a huge shout out to our Year 6’s who came to the realisation this will be the last time they represent this incredible school for sport! You really are outstanding and can’t wait to hear about all of your accomplishments in secondary school! You’re so ready!
