🏅 Sandown Boccia Success!🔴⚪🔵

Today, 12 Sandown children proudly represented our school at the Hastings Boccia competition!

Boccia is a precision ball sport where players aim to throw their balls closest to the white target ball (the jack). We played in teams of 3, each throwing 2 balls, over 2 ends to score points.

We entered 4 teams, and each team played 6 fixtures throughout the day. Confidence grew with every game and every Sandown team secured a win! 🙌

Most importantly, the children showed fantastic teamwork, resilience, and pride in representing Sandown. 💙

And the cherry on top…
🥇 One of our Sandown teams finished 1st out of 12 teams overall, taking home GOLD medals!🥇

We are incredibly proud of all the children who took part today! 👏
