🏐🔥 A fantastic afternoon of netball for Sandown! 🔥🏐
After qualifying by winning our Hastings cluster, the team took on the Hastings and Rother Area Finals against 7 other top schools and what a performance it was! 💪👏
Winning 2 out of 3 group games meant we finished 2nd in our group and secured a well-deserved place in the final 🥈✨
In the final against St Paul’s, Poppy gave us the perfect start with an early 1 -0 lead 🌟 However, St Paul’s showed their quality in front of goal, and we went into half-time 4 - 1 down.
The second half was much closer, with great teamwork, determination and resilience shown by all 💙 Unfortunately, it was not quite our day.
🏅 Taking home SILVER medals in such a competitive event is a huge achievement and something to be very proud of! 🎉
There is a lot to build on for the future, and we hope our Year 6 children continue their netball journey as they move on to secondary school 🏫🏐
A brilliant effort from the whole team. Well done! 👏💫
