🌍🦁🐝 What an INCREDIBLE day we’ve had celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s 100th Birthday (Friday 8th May!) 🎉🎂🌿
The whole school came together for a day packed with exciting, nature-inspired learning and WOW… the costumes were AMAZING! 🐒🦋🦜🦓
Throughout the day, children took part in lots of fun activities linked across the curriculum 📚✏️🌎:
🧪 Science investigations about habitats and wildlife
📖 Nature-themed reading and writing activities
🎨 Creative artwork inspired by the natural world
➕ Maths and geography linked to animals and conservation
🏃♂️ Even our PE lessons were animal-themed with lots of wild movement and jungle energy! 🐘🦘🐍
One of the most special parts of the day was planting seeds together for a new wild garden on the top field 🌼🌱🌸.
This will help support bees 🐝 and other wildlife, creating a beautiful space for nature to thrive for years to come 💚🌎
A huge well done to all our children for their enthusiasm, creativity, and brilliant participation today, and thank you to families for helping with the fantastic outfits! 👏✨
